INVISALIGN TREATMENT PROCESS
Once the team at Leigh Dental Centre have confirmed that you are eligible for treatment, they will take photos, x-rays and digital scans, which can be used to create your custom made treatment plan and aligners.
You will need to wear your aligners every day and change them every 1-2 weeks. This will allow your teeth move gradually into the desired position. You will need to attend for appointments every 6-8 weeks so that we can monitor your progress.
On completion of treatment, you will need to wear retainers to ensure that your teeth do not regress to their original position.
- Invisible – Invisalign aligners are virtually invisible, this ensures that people are more likely to notice your changing smile rather than the aligners doing the work.
- Reduced dental visits – you will only need to attend for short visits every 6 to 8 weeks. So, the dentist can review your progress and you can be provided with your next sets of aligners, these can then be changed every 1-2 weeks, wherever you might be.
- Less pain – Aligners made from Invisalign’s SmartTrack material are trimmed to your exact gum line to ensure the best possible fit, allowing you to wear them for the recommended 22 hours a day with little or no discomfort.
- Removable to allow you to continue to live life to the full – removable aligners allow you to still eat a full and varied diet without any restrictions, they also allow you to perform a full and thorough oral hygiene routine, reducing the risk of gum disease and tooth decay.
