Implant Retained Dentures

Implant retained dentures provide the perfect solution if you find that your dentures are loose and feel bulky or uncomfortable in your mouth. Implant retained dentures can replace either full or partial dentures.

Implant retained dentures are complete dentures that are securely attached to dental implants. These dentures can be removable or fixed and the dentist will be able to discuss the best solution to meet your needs.

Prior to treatment your mouth will be fully assessed to ensure that there is sufficient healthy bone in your jaw for the implants to anchor to. If there is not enough or it is not healthy enough it may be necessary to perform a bone graft before the implants can be placed.

As few as two implants are needed in the lower jaw and usually four in the upper jaw to provide a patient with no teeth, full implant retained dentures. If you only require partial dentures the dentist will be able to provide a detailed assessment of the number of implants required to best support the denture.
