Mr Shah qualified at Manchester Dental School and has been practicing for over 10 years now. Simal has a special interest in doing simple adult orthodontics using the Invisalign system or using fixed brackets and wires. He believes in developing the practice and its team further to improve the service to all our patients and actively encourages feedback to improve our services. He enjoys playing golf and reading crime and fiction novels when time allows and enjoys spending time with his young family. Simal also works at our sister practice at the Benfleet Dental Centre

Having spent the last 17 years in a Private Dental Practice in Southend, Shameem has had the opportunity to develop and hone her skills, offering a wide range of dental services, including cosmetic dentistry and tooth whitening. She takes pride in her ability to maintain a calm and gentle manner, putting the most nervous of patients at ease, but aiming to deliver the highest level of care. More recently, Shameem has extended her skill set to include non-surgical facial aesthetics, such as dermal fillers and “Botox”, having been trained by the world renowned Professor Bob Khanna. Simranjit has a special interest in root canal treatment. He is a accredited tier 2 endodontic performer for London and the East of England. I also have a wealth of experience working in a variety of NHS and private dental practices across London and Essex, and I was previously chairman of the local section of the British Dental Association. I am experienced in providing all aspects of general dentistry and particularly enjoy developing long term professional relationships and building trust with my patients.In my private life, I am married to Shameem, who is also a dentist at Leigh Dental Centre, and we are the proud parents of two boys and two girls. In my spare time, I enjoy cricket and football and I am a keen follower of Liverpool FC.I am delighted to be joining the team at Leigh Dental Centre.

Meenal is known for her caring and gentle approach and ensures to build excellent rapport with all her patients to make them feel at ease. Dr Tasnim Choudhury graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from King’s College London and completed specialty training in Periodontology also with King’s College London at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. Subsequently Tasnim obtained a Master’s in Clinical Dentistry in Periodontology and awarded Membership of Periodontics by the Royal College of Surgeons in England.Whilst pursuing specialist training, Tasnim was an undergraduate clinical teacher and examiner in Periodontology at King’s College London. She also led the Level 2 NHS pathway in Periodontics at Thames Valley Trust and worked in several specialist private practices in London and the south east.Before specialising, Tasnim gained extensive experience across various dental specialties, including oral surgery, sedation, special care, general, paediatric and restorative dentistry. She completed an MSc in General Dental Practice, with a particular focus on education, training and bone grafting. Concurrently, Tasnim was a clinical undergraduate tutor in general dentistry with King’s College London, and led many oral health promotion initiatives both within the community and schools across London.Tasnim has published papers on periodontal risk factors and is currently involved in dental research into advanced techniques for the management of periodontitis. Tasnim was a finalist for the British Society of Periodontology’s Sir Wilfred Fish Prize and presented her research at the BSP national annual conference.Tasnim is passionate about delivering tailored and evidence-based periodontal care to her patients, ensuring they receive the highest standard of treatment in a supportive and patient-focused environment.
